Meet Our Comfort Keepers® In Home Care Agency

Our team of home health care providers is uniquely qualified and ready to help

Our staff, your team, is comprised of home health care providers who have demonstrated the sincere desire to help people and the ability and experience to provide the highest possible level of customer service and care.

Every member of our in home care agency is professional and well trained. We conduct a thorough screening and interviewing process to identify the best home health care providers, and only those who pass this process go on to complete training to deliver our special brand of home care and become Comfort Keepers®. What truly sets our people apart, though, is their natural gift for caring for others.

Comfort Keepers of Fort Myers, FL pass extensive background checks and complete continuing education. They are bonded, insured and covered by workers' compensation insurance to protect our clients and their families.

Tom Dean

As owner, in running a private pay Home Healthcare agency, there can be many challenges day to day. Tom got his CNA license before the company started providing personal care, because in private pay home health care, when you need service generally you need it "Now". Having his CNA allowed Tom the qualifications to fill in briefly if needed in a case.

Tom admits there can be many challenges day to day, but he likes what he does and says, "I wouldn't trade problems with anyone." Tom is from Alabama, he is a fan of the University of Alabama, and has a picture of Coach Nick Saban in the lobby. He likes computers and is interested in technology.

Kim Dean

Kim brings the heart and the mind of the company together! She attended Virginia Tech and has a strong background business. She previously owned a mortgage brokerage firm and a managed collection agency. Kim excelled in many sports, and really enjoys golf and tennis. Along with her husband Tom, spare time is spent with family.

Dawn Pudlin, CDC

Dawn manages operations in the Fort Myers and the Naples area for Comfort Keepers. She has been a caregiver since her late teens and had worked in home health and hospice care in New York before moving to Florida. She has also worked in different aspects of senior living including assisted living where she found her true calling in memory care. "This is where I found my true passion with Alzheimer's and dementia clients." Dawn's position includes training and managing our team of Client Care Coordinators and working with caregivers and families to increase quality of life through activities and outstanding care. She often plays a role in educating families so they can better enjoy time with their loved ones and finds that the increased quality time that they have with their loved one has changed their lives.

Maureen Oravec

Territory Manager

Maureen has 20 years of marketing experience in the senior housing industry. A resident of Lee County since 1991, she is a well-known professional in her field. "After spending 20 years helping seniors move out of their home when they needed support, it is very rewarding to provide an option to help them age in place instead". Maureen enjoys boating, reading and spending time with family. She hopes to travel the world one day but for now is dedicated to trying to make a positive difference one day at a time. She is married with one son

Kayla Harm, RN

Registered Nurse

Kayla Harm completed her ASN from Florida Southwestern State college and is currently working towards completing her BSN.  Her desire to become a nurse and dedicate herself to caring for others began when she was a child and this demonstrates itself through her previous volunteer work with Hope Hospice, Cape Coral Health System, and the American Cancer Society. She is grateful to have the opportunity to work with clients one-on-one and as part of a team in helping to ensure their safety and meet their care needs. Kayla is married and has a dog and 2 cats.

LeAnna Bates

Mallory Idavoy

Care Team Associate

Mallory is the Lead Scheduler and Care Team Associate with Comfort Keepers of Lee and Collier County. She joined the team in April of 2015 and has grown with our company tremendously since starting. She is in charge of training new team members, scheduling caregivers for our clients and caregiver counseling. In addition to the in-office responsibilities, she also spends time out in the community with current and prospective clients to help manage the care we provide to them, and ensure we do it to the best of our ability. Mallory obtained her CNA License and HHA Certification from Southwestern Vocational School in December of 2010 and cared for private clients for 5 years before working for Comfort Keepers. Born and raised in Cape Coral, Fl., she spends most of her time off at the local community theater performing in various shows, singing, dancing and acting or spending time with her two fur children (her dogs Dixie and Drizzy)!

Katie Ball

Care Team Associate

Katie Ball is our Lead Client Care Coordinator at Comfort Keepers. She is responsible for training and leading the coordinating team. She focuses on motivating the team and making sure that everyone is successful! We want to make sure that we are providing all of our clients and prospective clients with the resources they need, whether it be care with Comfort Keepers or programs in the community. Katie is also a Certified Nursing Assistant and has experience with working in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. She joined the team after working at a local assisted living facility where she loved working with the residents. Memory care was her absolute favorite. There is never a dull moment. She states "Working with clients that have dementia is learning to think outside of the box, laughing and crying with them, and playing along no matter how silly you look! There is something so special about taking care of someone during a time when they feel like they are not “themselves”. It is such an honor to be a part of a person’s life, especially at the end when they need support the most. With all the fear that comes with aging, they trust us with the awesome responsibility of giving them the utmost respect, comfort, and dignity." Katie is honored to work for Comfort Keepers because she knows that each day we come to work; we make a difference in our client’s lives! Katie is married to my wonderful husband of one year and we have a son Jerimiah, a fat white cat named Casper, and little mutt named Penny.
